Bean Project w/Complications

Here are some photos of our revised bean project.  Our task was to move the bean "up, down, up" and then make the incline of one meter.  We had quite a few obstacles along the way.  We almost made it work... But we never truly got it finished and working smoothly.

Why we did this project!
This project helped us to explore the scientific method.  We used to Harwood Model both to complete the task of moving a bean one meter, and then perform this task with added complications.  We learned tha science is more of an exploration of ideas and methods, rather than the following of steps and regulations.  We were givin freedom to complete the task how ever we liked, rather than being told how to do it.  This is the way working scientists approach their studies.  It doesn't matter so much exactly how they get to a point, it just matters that they get there.
